Vadum on Arnab Goswami’s top-rated Indian TV show talking about Trump’s latest moves in the Iran war

I was on “The Debate with Arnab” on April 20, 2026, on Republic TV in India. (Host Arnab Goswami is reportedly the biggest TV journalist in India.)

We were discussing President Donald Trump’s latest moves in the Iran war. For much of the show, two of the panelists spent a lot of time yelling at each other.

Here is most of what I managed to get in edgewise:

“Arnab, I think you’re right that Donald Trump talks too much. He often contradicts himself, but I think here, I don’t think he’s desperate for the conflict to end. He’d like it to end on his terms.”

“Your panel is blaming America for any setbacks in the negotiations. And I don’t think that’s reasonable. You know, Iran, is notorious for violating agreements and for going back on its word, so I don’t think you can lay all of the blame at the feet of the Americans.”

“It seems to be that President Trump is playing some kind of a psychological operation, psychological warfare, against the various factions within the Islamic Republic of Iran right now that are struggling to control the government, whether it’s the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps or other elements of the government.”

“So they’re fighting for control. They’re contradicting each other and Donald Trump is contributing to the chaos. And I think that it is deliberate on his part. I don’t think it’s incompetence. He’s wily and he’s not to be underestimated.”
