When Vadum educated Glenn Beck about the Cloward-Piven Strategy and the Tides Foundation

According to Nexis (no link available) I was the guest who introduced Glenn Beck to the Cloward-Piven Strategy on his TV show almost two years ago. The show was aired on May 13, 2009. Here are the video clips: And according to the left-wing Media Matters for America, on the same show I was also the guest who introduced Beck to the shadowy, radical Tides Foundation. ACORN Sprouting Fresh Branches

As the remnants of the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now regroup in order to bring chaos to the 2012 election cycle, ACORN’s renamed New York chapter is teeming with activity. The successor organization, called New York Communities for Change (NYCC), operates out of the same office on Nevins Street in Brooklyn that is home to ACORN and its partisan arm, the socialist Working Families Party of New York. Longtime ACORN leader Jon Kest is executive director of NYCC.  Kest is the brother of Steve Kest, former executive director of ACORN, who has joined fellow radical community organizer Van … Continue reading ACORN Sprouting Fresh Branches

Discredited academic hails corrupt ACORN’s ‘Kick-A-s Activism’: Pushing storyline that ACORN was victim of a right-wing plot

This column by Matthew Vadum appeared June 19,2010, in the Washington Examiner.   Discredited academic hails corrupt ACORN’s ‘Kick-A-s Activism’ Pushing storyline that ACORN was victim of a right-wing plot By Matthew Vadum Professional radical shill Peter Dreier, an Occidental College professor, has been very busy writing propaganda for his paying customer ACORN in recent days. There was “[n]o group [that] was better at kicking a-s,” Dreier oozes at TPM Cafe while reflecting on ACORN’s dissolution as a national organization. What Dreier should have written was that there is no group better than ACORN – at kicking its own a-s! In a review of his … Continue reading Discredited academic hails corrupt ACORN’s ‘Kick-A-s Activism’: Pushing storyline that ACORN was victim of a right-wing plot

Eric Holder Won’t Investigate His Radical Friends at ACORN

Attorney General Eric Holder has made it abundantly clear he has absolutely no interest in investigating his radical friends at ACORN. Holder’s Justice Department released a legal opinion last week that allows the Obama administration to ignore the will of Congress which has voted overwhelmingly to suspend federal funding of ACORN until at least Dec. 18. He’s also ignored the 88-page report on ACORN’s systemic corruption and flagrant racketeering activities that was issued this summer by Republican investigators on the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee. Apparently, public outrage at the continuing antics of the corrupt radical advocacy group that used to employ President Obama and … Continue reading Eric Holder Won’t Investigate His Radical Friends at ACORN

How The Left Robs Dead People

The left delights in grave robbing, which helps to explain why support for inheritance taxes (which go by the more honest moniker, death duties, in the U.K.) remains so high among progressive activists. But having the tax man shake down corpses is only one way the left helps fund both the welfare state and the progressive movement’s broader program of activism. Liberals love taking money away from dead philanthropists by subverting their charitable foundations. The topic of fidelity to donors’ intent came up on the “Glenn Beck Program” today (video here) during a discussion of the left-wing entitlemania group AARP’s (American Association of Retired Persons) … Continue reading How The Left Robs Dead People

Hillary Clinton’s College Thesis on Saul Alinsky Resurfaces

I’m pretty good at tracking things down on the Internet but a few months ago when I tried to find Hillary Clinton’s Wellesley College thesis on Saul Alinsky I couldn’t find it. zTruth now posts the thesis, which appears to be genuine, here. These things have a habit of disappearing from the Internet so I have saved a copy on this, the Capital Research Center blog. Here is the thesis in PDF format. Of course, Barack Obama too was inspired by the writings of Saul Alinsky. This post by Matthew Vadum appeared at the website of Capital Research Center on Sept. 19, 2009. The green-washing of Sept. 11

ANALYSIS/OPINION: Before he abruptly exited the White House last weekend, former green jobs czar Van Jones used his government position to help the Obama administration cynically green-wash the meaning of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks. Specifically, Mr. Jones helped lead an Obama-approved effort to reshape America’s collective memory of the Sept. 11 atrocities. Eager to keep Mr. Jones in the vanguard of radical change, John Podesta’s Center for American Progress reportedly offered Mr. Jones office space earlier this week to help him get back on his feet. This attempt to re-brand the horrors of Sept. 11 is part of … Continue reading The green-washing of Sept. 11

Greens Already Calling Van Jones’s Ouster A Lynching

Van Jones has become the Ward Churchill of the environmentalist movement yet green activists keep defending this hateful anti-American communist. David Horowitz notes that environmentalists are already arguing that communist 9/11 “truther” Van Jones’s resignation over the weekend as President Obama’s green jobs czar was a lynching. Carl Pope of the Sierra Club (an admirer of Jones) wrote a weepy op-edsaying he wished he’d done more to defend his lunatic friend and ally. …on Saturday night, Van resigned, and this morning I was sick at heart. Collectively we — the environmental community, progressives, and the Obama administration — blew this, and we let our cause, our … Continue reading Greens Already Calling Van Jones’s Ouster A Lynching

Race-Baiting Group Hitting TV’s Glenn Beck Was Founded By Obama’s Communist Green Jobs Czar

President Obama’s controversial green jobs czar –a self-described “rowdy black nationalist” and “communist”– is a co-founder of the same unsavory left-wing pressure group that is urging an advertiser boycott of Glenn Beck’s TV show after Beck did several unflattering news packages on the czar. Not surprisingly, Big Media haven’t noticed the connection. The czar in question is Van Jones, a founding board member of Color of Change, an extremist racial grievance group that tries to stir up racial antagonism in order to promote a socialist agenda. As Jeff Poor noted here at NewsBusters, Color of Change isn’t happy that Beck did several news packages on … Continue reading Race-Baiting Group Hitting TV’s Glenn Beck Was Founded By Obama’s Communist Green Jobs Czar

Biased PolitiFact.com Covers for ACORN, Attacks Michele Bachmann

This is a Matthew Vadum column from NewsBusters dated June 3, 2009:   Why is the fact-checking operation PolitiFact.com carrying water for the radical left-wing activist group ACORN and attacking Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.) for trying to warn the public about the group? A project of the St. Petersburg Times, the website’s “Truth-O-Meter” purports to check and rate “the accuracy of statements by candidates, elected officials, political parties, interest groups, pundits, talk show hosts.” After PolitiFact writers research a statement, it then receives one of six ratings on a continuum of truthfulness: True, Mostly True, Half True, Barely True, False … Continue reading Biased PolitiFact.com Covers for ACORN, Attacks Michele Bachmann

Quebec Has Helicopters for Pepe Le Pew But Not for Emergency Patients

Authorities in the province of Quebec, Canada, seem to care more about the well-being of skunks and power lines than the well-being of patients with life-threatening health concerns. In a sense Pepe Le Pew gets better healthcare from the goverment of Quebec, Canada, than Quebec residents receive. Pepe has professionals airdropping him medicine from helicopters while human Quebeckers don’t even have access to a medical helicopter system. Quebec’s natural resources ministry uses a helicopter fleet to drop bait containing rabies vaccine in an effort to keep its skunks, raccoons, and foxes healthy. Government-owned Hydro Quebec (or Hydro-Québec, as it’s spelled in la belle province), Canada’s … Continue reading Quebec Has Helicopters for Pepe Le Pew But Not for Emergency Patients

I, Marion Barry

Marion Barry wants the world to know there isn’t just one Messiah now living in Washington, D.C. This irrepressible creature of habit seems convinced he is a living god, unencumbered by the laws of mere mortal men. The dashiki-wearing Democratic former mayor of the District of Columbia who years ago aggressively led the capital city into insolvency, has yet again failed to file his personal tax return, the Washington Post reports. Barry did this while on probation after being convicted in 2006 of failing to file federal and district income tax returns from 1999 through 2004. This is just the … Continue reading I, Marion Barry

Another Dumb Column from Soros Smear Site Media Matters

Eric Boehlert of the George Soros-funded smear site, Media Matters for America, has churned out yet another ridiculous piece of left-wing propaganda. Boehlert writes: [A]s the White House campaign hits its final stride under the ominous shadow of the Wall Street meltdown and the deep recession that’s hurtling this way, perhaps the only silver lining — the one unexpected pleasure — has been watching the Drudge Report be completely neutered by current events. Matt Drudge is still doing his loyal best to boost the chances of the GOP down the homestretch in the form of a blizzard of anti-Obama and pro-McCain links on his … Continue reading Another Dumb Column from Soros Smear Site Media Matters

Barney Frank Right About One Thing Only

House Financial Services Committee chairman Barney Frank (D-Massachusetts) has been savaged by the Wall Street Journal and others for his efforts over the years to kill off attempts to reform the troubled government sponsored enterprises (GSEs) we keep reading about. Critics, including then-Fed chairman Alan Greenspan and banking consultant Bert Ely, warned for years that the two titans of the secondary mortgage market were both overexposed to risk. They posed “systemic risk” to the financial system because their investment portfolios were massive and markets expected the federal government to bail out the companies in the event of trouble. As the Journal points … Continue reading Barney Frank Right About One Thing Only

San Francisco recycling gestapo

Yet another breaktakingly dumb proposal emerges from liberal San Francisco: Mayor Gavin Newsom wants to fine those who don’t separate their trash $1,000, the San Francisco Chronicle reports. According to the Chronicle: Garbage collectors would inspect San Francisco residents’ trash to make sure pizza crusts aren’t mixed in with chip bags or wine bottles under a proposal by Mayor Gavin Newsom. And if residents or businesses don’t separate the coffee grounds from the newspapers, they would face fines of up to $1,000 and eventually could have their garbage service stopped. The plan to require proper sorting of refuse would be the … Continue reading San Francisco recycling gestapo
