It’s the Fourth of July once again, the day left-wing community organizers across America celebrate Dependence Day.
Not to the radical mob-o-crats of ACORN, La Raza, SEIU, and the legions of other socialist groups that are swinging a wrecking ball at the foundations of this great republic. America is under siege as extremists determined to pulverize the U.S. Constitution deliberately bankrupt the nation, destroy the electoral system, and drive the economy into the ground. (And to boot, just in time for Dependence Day the Obama administration gave $79,000 of your money to his old friends at ACORN.)
ACORN and other radical groups are delighted that the welfare rolls are exploding everywhere. An appalling 1 in 7 Americans now receives food stamps and there are 70 bloated federal welfare programs. It’s the legacy of the failed $16 trillion War on Poverty – and President Obama, who erased the welfare reforms of the 1990s, wants to spend $10 trillion more!
ACORN and community organizers are so thrilled with social decay that they celebrate dependency and leftist thuggery by hijacking songs that Americans hold dear.
As I write in my new book, Subversion Inc.: How Obama’s ACORN Red Shirts are Still Terrorizing and Ripping Off American Taxpayers, ACORN uses songs and chants to reinforce identity and boost morale. ACORN songs typically contain three recurring themes: ACORN’s growing power, the solidarity of “the people,” and a definition of the group’s enemies.
There is “ACORN Marches On,” which is sung to the tune of the “Battle Hymn of the Republic”:
Mine eyes have seen the glory when the people stand as one.
We have scattered all the bureaucrats and put them on the run.
But even with our list of wins our work has just begun.
The ACORN marches on.
There’s Republicans, there’s Democrats, I don’t know which is worse,
Cuz the elephants they kill my job; the donkeys kill my purse.
Well, it’s time to take those fossil groups and pack them in a hearse.
As ACORN marches on.
And there is the “ACORN Marching Song,” which is sung to the tune of the “Caisson Song” (“over hill, over dale . . .”):
In our cities, in our states,
We’re the ones that pay the freight,
But the rich folks go rolling along.
Keep us divided, whites from blacks,
Moderate and poor on different tracks.
And the rich folks go rolling along.
Well, actually, ACORN members, drawn largely from the ranks of the privileged many Americans who pay no income taxes, don’t “pay the freight,” but that’s a discussion for another day.

America needs to know that ACORN is restructuring in time to help re-elect President Obama in 2012. Obama used to work for ACORN and represented the group in court as its lawyer. These radical leftists who use the brutal, in-your-face, pressure tactics of Saul Alinsky want to destroy America as we know it and will use any means to do it.
