A terrorist group is suing the police for surveilling it.
The terrorists are the members of the Rockland County, New York, chapter of the violent, racist Black Lives Matter movement.
The New York Law Journal reports that Black Lives Matter filed a federal civil rights lawsuit against the Clarkstown Police Department claiming, according to the report, that it “illegally surveilled its members, using a special intelligence unit and lumping in the group with terrorists and gangs.”
The lawsuit was initiated in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York a week ago. It alleges police and intelligence unit members began racially profiling the group in 2015, thereby violating members’ First and Fourteenth Amendment rights.
“Defendants illegally targeted members of Black Lives Matter for surveillance based upon their race and critical commentary of the treatment of people of color by police,” states the legal complaint. “These illegal actions are borne out of the unwarranted anxiety that the Black Lives Matter movement causes mainstream society.”
“The Clarkstown Police Department attended peaceful Black Lives Matter rallies intimidating the plaintiffs by positioning snipers on rooftops,” the complaint alleges, adding “Each member was illegally surveilled when the SIU established electronic ‘Geofences’ and placed ‘Black Lives Matter Movement’ under the same surveillance criteria as ‘Terrorism,’ ‘Gangs,’ ‘Violence,’ ‘Heroin Initiative’ and ‘Police Riots.'”
Hmmm. Why might the Clarkstown police think snipers might be needed at a Black Lives Matter event?
There is Dallas Police Department Senior Cpl. Lorne Ahrens, 48, murdered July 7, 2016, during a Black Lives Matter march, by Micah X. Johnson, a sniper sympathetic to the goals of Black Lives Matter:

Those are just five of the victims of Black Lives Matter violence, five good reasons why Black Lives Matter needs to be surveilled like any other terrorist group. The mass shooting last year was the deadliest incident for U.S. law enforcement since the September 11, 2001, attacks.
Black Lives Matter also plotted to burn down the Minnesota state capitol in Saint Paul.
There are many other incidents of violence carried out by Black Lives Matter.
These cop-killers enjoy the support of the Democratic Party. Members of the Democratic National Committee have expressly endorsed Black Lives Matter, throwing their lot in with black racists and radical Black Power militants. The DNC officially embraced a statement that slams the U.S. for allegedly systemic police violence against black people. A resolution passed by hundreds of delegates at the DNC meeting in Minneapolis accused the nation’s police of “extrajudicial killings of unarmed African American men, women and children.”
There are plenty of leftist judges on the federal bench. This means this ridiculous lawsuit is likely to receive a respectful hearing. That is a tragedy.
