I was on Times Now in India on June 7 (June 8 in India) talking about Iran’s missile attack on Israel and President Donald Trump’s efforts to persuade Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu not to retaliate.

Part way through the broadcast the tenor changed as the story broke that Israel launched fresh missile strikes against targets in Iran.

I said the United States and Israel are allies, but sometimes Israel goes against American wishes and takes military action because it feels it needs to send a message to its enemies.
