People are talking about U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) arresting the notorious professional provocateur Milo Yiannopoulos for illegally overstaying his visa.
His birth name, by the way, was Milo Hanrahan. He is a British citizen.
But there may be something else going on here. Milo may have actually gone insane and morphed into an enemy of the United States.
I guess it makes sense. He was always extreme and unstable. For years, he would post online hailing the arrival of what he called the “Trumpenreich.” (I can almost imagine him clicking his heels as he says the word.)
Not a lot of people know this, but Scott Walter, the president of Capital Research Center (my former employer) was a very close personal friend of Milo. They talked on the phone all the time. Scott showed me dinner photos of Milo posing with Scott’s wife. CRC published his work. Scott helped him with his books.
On February 28, as the United States and Israel were righteously dispatching Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, Milo was praying for Allah to protect this profoundly evil man.

The tweet from his @Nero account bearing the same date reads: “O Allah, preserve Ayatollah Khamenei – O Allah, indeed we place You in their throats, and we seek refuge in You from their evils.”
According to Grok:
Yes, the tweet is real. Milo posted the Arabic on February 28, 2026.
It is not from the Quran. The second half is a well-known Hadith (a recorded saying of Muhammad), reported from Abu Musa al-Ash’ari. When the Prophet feared a group of people, he would say:
اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّا نَجْعَلُكَ فِي نُحُورِهِمْ، وَنَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شُرُورِهِمْ
English rendering: “O Allah, we place You in their throats/chests, and we seek refuge in You from their evils.”
What the words mean
-
- Nuhūr (نحور) = throats, or the upper chest/neck area (the spot where an enemy faces you in combat, and also the place of slaughter).
- “We place You in their throats” is an idiomatic way of asking God to stand in front of them as a barrier — to block them, turn them back, or even “cut them down” at the neck.
- The second clause is a standard request for protection from whatever harm they intend.
It is a short battlefield/protection dua used when you expect hostility from a specific group. It appears in Sunan Abu Dawud, Musnad Ahmad, and other collections; scholars such as al-Albani graded it sahih (authentic).
The first clause Milo added (“O Allah, preserve Ayatollah Khamenei”) is a common modern Shia/Iranian supplication for the Supreme Leader. He simply bolted the classic Hadith onto it.
So the language is classical Arabic from the Hadith corpus, not a Quranic verse. The imagery is deliberately martial: God as a shield planted directly in the enemy’s throat.
