My article from the Sept. 2, 2013 issue of FrontPage Magazine: Conservative Enemies of the State By Matthew Vadum Conservative organizations are “hate groups” and Tea Party supporters are potentially dangerous extremists, according to educational materials the Obama administration is using to indoctrinate members of the nation’s armed forces. In response to a Freedom of Information Act request made by good-government group Judicial Watch, the Pentagon recently released 133 pages of lesson plans and PowerPoint slides provided by the Air Force from a January 2013 Defense Department diversity training center “student guide” entitled “Extremism.” Judicial Watch president Tom Fitton slammed the Department … Continue reading Conservative Enemies of the State

My article from the Aug. 29, 2013 issue of FrontPage Magazine: Mangling MLK’s Dream By Matthew Vadum President Obama hijacked a solemn national occasion yesterday, fomenting racial resentment and making crass appeals to envy on the 50th anniversary of slain civil rights leader Martin Luther King Jr.’s historic “I Have a Dream” speech. In his mercifully brief 29-minute oration on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial, Obama attacked Republicans without naming them. Obama and other Democratic politicians routinely beat up Republicans rhetorically. They claim Republicans want to prevent blacks and other minorities from voting, and accuse them of being fiscal tightwads who refuse to … Continue reading Mangling MLK’s Dream

My article from the Aug. 27, 2013 issue of FrontPage Magazine: Top 10 Racist African-Americans By Matthew Vadum Sadly, racism is very much alive in America — among influential black Americans. It was very much on display Saturday at the Lincoln Memorial where prominent black activists gathered a few days ahead of the 50th anniversary of Martin Luther King Jr.’s historic “I have a dream” speech in order to advance their careers by pretending to care about the state of race relations in the nation today. Instead of simply using the opportunity to honor the work of his father in … Continue reading Top 10 Racist African-Americans

My article from the Aug. 20, 2013 issue of FrontPage Magazine: Hillary Clinton: Racial Demagogue By Matthew Vadum Hoping to keep Obama-generated racial animosity alive long enough to get her past the presidential finish line in 2016, Hillary Clinton has been bloviating about what racist election laws America supposedly has. “In 2013, so far, more than 80 bills restricting voting rights have been introduced in 31 states,” Clinton told fawning admirers at a meeting of the American Bar Association. Such laws are part of a Jim Crow-like effort to “disproportionately impact African-Americans, Latino and young voters,” she said. Hillary, of … Continue reading Hillary Clinton: Racial Demagogue

My article from the Aug. 16, 2013 issue of FrontPage Magazine: Reaping What Obama’s Sown in Egypt By Matthew Vadum President Obama continues to offer his blessings to the theocratic totalitarians of the Muslim Brotherhood as they spill blood on Egyptian streets in an effort to restore Mohamed Morsi to power. Our terrorist-supporting president has the gall to scold the military, the most stable, trusted institution in Egypt, while his Islamofascist allies burn scores of Coptic churches in the region where Christianity began more than six centuries before the birth of Mohammed. The military has been struggling mightily to shut … Continue reading Reaping What Obama’s Sown in Egypt

It’s beyond silly but that’s the American Left nowadays. Obama zombies are freaking out over a rodeo clown wearing an Obama mask at a show at the Missouri state fair. Here I am on Sun News Network (Canada) yesterday talking about this phony controversy: Continue reading VIDEO: Vadum on the stupid Obama-masked rodeo clown controversy

My article from the July 25, 2013 issue of FrontPage Magazine: Obama’s Bankrupt Economic Agenda By Matthew Vadum President Obama’s much-hyped speech about the economy yesterday was an impressive exercise in left-wing self-congratulation backed by examples of economic illiteracy and lies we’ve grown accustomed to hearing. The banal address delivered at Knox College, in Galesburg, Illinois, was 64 long, platitude-filled minutes of nothing. It was a speech the long-suffering American people have heard umpteen times before, endlessly promoted by the mainstream media as something novel and exciting. It underlined the pervasive, ominous atmosphere of unreality that permeates the Obama administration. As America … Continue reading Obama’s Bankrupt Economic Agenda

My article from today’s issue of FrontPage magazine: Obama’s Enforcer in Egypt By Matthew Vadum When Egyptians contemplate the abysmal failure of the Obama administration’s policies toward their country, they picture the face of the hapless American envoy to Egypt. U.S. Ambassador Anne W. Patterson, who has shamefully collaborated with the theocratic totalitarians of the Muslim Brotherhood, has continued to stand by Egypt’s Islamofascists even as they bring their nation ever closer to civil war. The Brotherhood refuses to accept the military-led ouster of its leader Mohammed Morsi as that nation’s president a fortnight ago. Its supporters are spilling blood … Continue reading Obama’s Enforcer in Egypt

My July 15, 2013 post from the American Spectator‘s blog, The Spectacle: Possible DHS Pick Martin O’Malley: Conservatives Are Terrorists By Matthew Vadum Rumors are circulating that Gov. Martin O’Malley (D-Md.) may be nominated to replace outgoing Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano. Those like Napolitano, who think conservatives are terrorists, should be delighted by this development. O’Malley regards reducing government spending as a terrorist act.  He said so on Feb. 8, 2005 when he was mayor of Baltimore. I was in the room at the National Press Club when O’Malley blasted then-President George W. Bush for daring to propose cutting … Continue reading Possible DHS Pick Martin O’Malley: Conservatives Are Terrorists

My article from the July 17, 2013 issue of FrontPage Magazine: No Nuclear Option in the Senate By Matthew Vadum Organized labor scored a huge victory yesterday when Republicans who had been blocking President Obama’s radical nominees lost their nerve and reached a deal with Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) to allow confirmation votes to proceed. The backroom political deal preserves — at least for now– the filibuster in the Senate. As usual, Republicans got nothing in return. Egged on by union bosses, Reid had vowed to execute a controversial parliamentary maneuver called the nuclear option in order to … Continue reading No Nuclear Option in the Senate

My article from today’s issue of FrontPage Magazine: Progressive Arsonists on the March By Matthew Vadum Left-wing politicians and racial-grievance profiteers across America are now fanning the flames of racial discord, demanding that George Zimmerman endure a politically correct show trial at the federal level despite his acquittal. Members of the professional Left can barely conceal their glee that Zimmerman was found not guilty of second-degree murder in the death of Trayvon Martin. This means they get to retain Zimmerman as a villain they can use to foment racial hatred, cause future civil disturbances, raise money through direct mail solicitations, … Continue reading Progressive Arsonists on the March

My article from the July 11, 2013 issue of FrontPage Magazine: Government-Approved Race Riots? By Matthew Vadum The Obama administration deployed government-paid community organizers to Sanford, Florida after the shooting death of Trayvon Martin last year in order to foment racial tensions, newly released government documents show. The news came as the Obama administration publicly pretended to be concerned at the prospect of ugly race riots breaking out across America in the increasingly likely event that defendant George Zimmerman will be acquitted in the case. Race riots benefit the Left, and in particular the Democratic Party, by riling up its … Continue reading Government-Approved Race Riots?
