Race-Baiting Group Hitting TV’s Glenn Beck Was Founded By Obama’s Communist Green Jobs Czar

President Obama’s controversial green jobs czar –a self-described “rowdy black nationalist” and “communist”– is a co-founder of the same unsavory left-wing pressure group that is urging an advertiser boycott of Glenn Beck’s TV show after Beck did several unflattering news packages on the czar. Not surprisingly, Big Media haven’t noticed the connection. The czar in question is Van Jones, a founding board member of Color of Change, an extremist racial grievance group that tries to stir up racial antagonism in order to promote a socialist agenda. As Jeff Poor noted here at NewsBusters, Color of Change isn’t happy that Beck did several news packages on … Continue reading Race-Baiting Group Hitting TV’s Glenn Beck Was Founded By Obama’s Communist Green Jobs Czar

Biased PolitiFact.com Covers for ACORN, Attacks Michele Bachmann

This is a Matthew Vadum column from NewsBusters dated June 3, 2009:   Why is the fact-checking operation PolitiFact.com carrying water for the radical left-wing activist group ACORN and attacking Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.) for trying to warn the public about the group? A project of the St. Petersburg Times, the website’s “Truth-O-Meter” purports to check and rate “the accuracy of statements by candidates, elected officials, political parties, interest groups, pundits, talk show hosts.” After PolitiFact writers research a statement, it then receives one of six ratings on a continuum of truthfulness: True, Mostly True, Half True, Barely True, False … Continue reading Biased PolitiFact.com Covers for ACORN, Attacks Michele Bachmann

Quebec Has Helicopters for Pepe Le Pew But Not for Emergency Patients

Authorities in the province of Quebec, Canada, seem to care more about the well-being of skunks and power lines than the well-being of patients with life-threatening health concerns. In a sense Pepe Le Pew gets better healthcare from the goverment of Quebec, Canada, than Quebec residents receive. Pepe has professionals airdropping him medicine from helicopters while human Quebeckers don’t even have access to a medical helicopter system. Quebec’s natural resources ministry uses a helicopter fleet to drop bait containing rabies vaccine in an effort to keep its skunks, raccoons, and foxes healthy. Government-owned Hydro Quebec (or Hydro-Québec, as it’s spelled in la belle province), Canada’s … Continue reading Quebec Has Helicopters for Pepe Le Pew But Not for Emergency Patients

I, Marion Barry

Marion Barry wants the world to know there isn’t just one Messiah now living in Washington, D.C. This irrepressible creature of habit seems convinced he is a living god, unencumbered by the laws of mere mortal men. The dashiki-wearing Democratic former mayor of the District of Columbia who years ago aggressively led the capital city into insolvency, has yet again failed to file his personal tax return, the Washington Post reports. Barry did this while on probation after being convicted in 2006 of failing to file federal and district income tax returns from 1999 through 2004. This is just the … Continue reading I, Marion Barry

Another Dumb Column from Soros Smear Site Media Matters

Eric Boehlert of the George Soros-funded smear site, Media Matters for America, has churned out yet another ridiculous piece of left-wing propaganda. Boehlert writes: [A]s the White House campaign hits its final stride under the ominous shadow of the Wall Street meltdown and the deep recession that’s hurtling this way, perhaps the only silver lining — the one unexpected pleasure — has been watching the Drudge Report be completely neutered by current events. Matt Drudge is still doing his loyal best to boost the chances of the GOP down the homestretch in the form of a blizzard of anti-Obama and pro-McCain links on his … Continue reading Another Dumb Column from Soros Smear Site Media Matters

Barney Frank Right About One Thing Only

House Financial Services Committee chairman Barney Frank (D-Massachusetts) has been savaged by the Wall Street Journal and others for his efforts over the years to kill off attempts to reform the troubled government sponsored enterprises (GSEs) we keep reading about. Critics, including then-Fed chairman Alan Greenspan and banking consultant Bert Ely, warned for years that the two titans of the secondary mortgage market were both overexposed to risk. They posed “systemic risk” to the financial system because their investment portfolios were massive and markets expected the federal government to bail out the companies in the event of trouble. As the Journal points … Continue reading Barney Frank Right About One Thing Only

San Francisco recycling gestapo

Yet another breaktakingly dumb proposal emerges from liberal San Francisco: Mayor Gavin Newsom wants to fine those who don’t separate their trash $1,000, the San Francisco Chronicle reports. According to the Chronicle: Garbage collectors would inspect San Francisco residents’ trash to make sure pizza crusts aren’t mixed in with chip bags or wine bottles under a proposal by Mayor Gavin Newsom. And if residents or businesses don’t separate the coffee grounds from the newspapers, they would face fines of up to $1,000 and eventually could have their garbage service stopped. The plan to require proper sorting of refuse would be the … Continue reading San Francisco recycling gestapo
