Cynthia Yockey on the Left’s dangerous transgender brainwashing

The groundbreaking work of Cynthia Yockey, a conservative lesbian (Twitter account: @conservativelez), on the grave threat that transgenderism poses to America and the rest of Western civilization, isn’t (yet) getting the attention it deserves.

Although the Left likes to conflate issues for strategic advantage, transgenderism has nothing to do with homosexuality. Yockey goes further, arguing that the trans crusade, if not challenged, will destroy the gay rights movement altogether. She’s probably right.

As Yockey has argued, the trans movement embraces totalitarianism of the most basic sort: getting people to accept and regurgitate an untruth. There is no dispute among serious scientists that human beings cannot change their sex. It’s a no-brainer. A man, like the mentally disturbed Adam Wheeler (pictured above) discussed below who insists he is a woman because he declares it to be so, should be referred to a psychiatrist to deal with his psychosis. His absurd pronouncements do not deserve our respect. We should not tip-toe around Wheeler’s feelings, nor should we coddle him. Facts, as many conservatives have been saying lately, don’t care about your feelings.

Yockey is author of the forthcoming book, War in the Women’s Room: How to Get Men in Dresses Out of Women’s Spaces, Save Your Children from Confusion about Their Sex, and Undo the Transgender Coup, to be published by Dangerous Books.

So with that, I give you Cynthia Yockey’s latest column as published Nov. 28 at Bombthrowers:

Leftist brainwashing on sex and race:

Transgender, transracial con artists demand you believe their lies

By Cynthia Yockey

In the classic short story about groupthink, “The Emperor’s New Clothes,” by Hans Christian Andersen, peer pressure is the glue that reinforces the mass delusion that the naked emperor is actually decked out in splendid new clothing. The characters trip over each other to profess their belief in a lie.

Radicals today rely on a similar mechanism to enforce a new party line that is a lie. Well, make that two lies. The first is that human beings, like the dinosaurs of Jurassic Park, can change their sex. The other lie is that human beings can change their race.

Talk about the power of positive thinking.

Recently USA Today interviewed Adam Wheeler, a trans rights two-fer because he is a white man who identifies as a Filipina named Ja Du, so he considers himself both transgender and transracial even though to be Filipino is to possess a nationality, not a race.

Amazingly enough, in 2017 it is courageous to declare that a man cannot actually become a woman, nor can a woman become a man.

“Biological sex is not assigned,” Dr. Michelle Cretella, president of the American College of Pediatricians, told a Heritage Foundation panel last month. “Biological [sex] is imprinted by our DNA at the moment of conception, and it’s [in] every single cell in our bodies.”

But reality is not an obstacle for the left.

As a 2004 paper by Christine Overall titled, “Transsexualism and ‘Transracialism’” shows, transracialism is a cause that has been quietly pursued on the left for years. It came to national attention in June 2015 when Rachel Dolezal, who claimed to be black and was the president of the Spokane, Washington, chapter of the NAACP, when she was outed as white by her parents who spoke with some authority on the matter.

In July 2015, transgender issues became international news when celebrity and Olympic decathlon champion Bruce Jenner came out as a transgender-identified man, who would present himself going forward as a transwoman named Caitlyn Jenner.

Then in April 2017, the feminist philosophy journal Hypatia published an article by Rebecca Tuvel, an assistant professor of philosophy at Rhodes College, in Memphis, Tennessee, titled “In Defense of Transracialism.” She specifically defends Dolezal and writes in her abstract, “Considerations that support transgenderism seem to apply equally to transracialism.”

Just as the left has vastly more organizations and wealth to push the transgender activist agenda than the right has to defeat it, the left also has been busy developing neologisms like “cisgender” and rationales like Tuvel’s that have allowed them to gaslight their way into their target idea spaces, colonize them, tear them from reality, and turn them into social constructs they can use to tyrannize people to serve their own purposes.

As I explain in more detail in my forthcoming book, War in the Women’s Room: How to Get Men in Dresses Out of Women’s Spaces, Save Your Children from Confusion about Their Sex, and Undo the Transgender Coup, published by Dangerous Books, the right needs its own terminology and secular arguments to preserve existing civil rights protections that are based on the immutable characteristics of sex and race.

Therefore, I propose the term “facsimile groups” for any community of people who appropriate the appearance and characteristics of a class of people whose rights have traditionally been protected on the basis of their immutable characteristics, such as sex or race.

The right needs the term “facsimile groups” because it gives them a name for the scam being run by transgender and transracial activists, which is that denying reality and faking their appearance entitles them not only to social recognition as something they aren’t, but also legal protections defined by physical characteristics they can never have.

I also propose characterizing facsimile group rights activists as rights pirates, similar to intellectual property rights pirates, because their objectives are to steal the hard-won rights based on sex and race to give them to men in womanface, like Caitlyn Jenner, and whites in blackface, like Rachel Dolezal.

Let’s look at a small piece of the destruction that these facsimile rights activists are wreaking on society.

On November 20, a man named Rachel Tudor won damages of $1,165,000 from his employer, Southeastern Oklahoma State University, in federal court on the claim he was discriminated against on the basis of his gender as a woman. This is piracy, of a sort.

How is Professor Tudor stealing rights from women? For starters, he’s not a woman – he’s a transgender-identified man who presents as a woman.

He is physically not eligible for employment rights protected by Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 on the basis of sex that were intended to protect natal women from job discrimination. On October 4, U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions issued a memo stating, “Title VII’s prohibition on sex discrimination encompasses discrimination between men and women but does not encompass discrimination based on gender identity per se, including transgender status … [thus] Title VII does not prohibit discrimination based on gender identity per se, including transgender status.”

Sessions’ memo reversed a 2014 memo issued during the Obama administration by then-Attorney General Eric Holder who invented rights. He stated in the memo that the category of “sex” in Title VII did include gender identity and that the law, therefore, did provide protections based on transgender status.

Oklahoma law does not provide employment protections on the basis of gender identity. This makes sense. Gender identity should not be a protected class because it has no objective definition and renders the protected class of sex meaningless for women by including natal men on their say-so alone.

As a consequence, “gender identity” isn’t a class of rights. It’s a collection of thefts and appropriations, mostly from women, perpetrated by people of testosterone—the men who grew up to want to live as women, and the women who take testosterone so they can live as men.

Thanks to modern medical treatments, we are in a post-transgender and post-racial age now. If you want to resemble the opposite sex or another race, you can buy the services of doctors who will wield the scalpels and prescribe the pills to make it happen.

But turning yourself into a facsimile of members of a protected class should not be rewarded with inclusion in that class according to law.

We can’t allow men to define themselves as women legally because this includes them in the protected class of sex, which makes it meaningless as a class and useless as a way to protect natal women from discrimination. In addition, it would allow natal men access to women’s spaces, such as showers and restrooms, and to take women’s jobs, compete in women’s sports, and usurp other opportunities.

Transgender rights cannot be based on undefinable social constructions, otherwise known as stereotypes, fashions, and fads. Transgender rights cannot usurp the rights of others. And transgender rights cannot be based on any form of identity fraud, such as passing as the opposite sex.

To prevent transgender and transracial identity fraud, we must pass laws at the state and federal levels to revise all government IDs, such as driver’s licenses and passports, to keep track of every individual’s sex, history of gender presentation, race, and history of race presentation. No more going to court to change birth certificates. You can change your gender and racial presentation, but if the government doesn’t know about it and you don’t keep your ID up-to-date, that is identity fraud, which must be a crime.

Transracial identity fraud can be used by persons who want to take jobs or opportunities where race is a qualification, as Rachel Dolezal did with the Spokane branch of the NAACP. Elizabeth Warren claimed to be Cherokee to advance her career. Transracial people can fulfill diversity requirements when they apply for college, taking slots intended for real members of racial minorities. Why wouldn’t smart, ambitious teens become transracial for that extra edge in qualifying for elite universities like Harvard? On top of that, they can discard their transracial identities after graduation. Or they can keep up the charade: transracial people can fill corporate affirmative action quotas, depriving real racial minorities of job opportunities and advancement.

Transgender identity fraud is even worse because it gives men access to spaces where women disrobe, such as showers, changing rooms, and restrooms. It allows men like billionaire Martine Rothblatt to be lauded as first woman this or that. It allows companies like Google to fulfill their diversity quotas for female engineers with men in dresses. It allows for men like Caitlyn Jenner to be acclaimed as the “Woman of the Year.” It gets male rapists like Martin Ponting put in women’s prisons. It gets crimes committed by men like convicted serial killer Doug/Donna Perry entered in the statistics kept on women’s crimes.

We also need to outlaw name changes intended to deceive others that you are biologically the opposite of your birth sex because that also is identity fraud. Especially for women, knowing the sex (and genital status) of others at all times is a safety issue. Transgender activists cannot be allowed to strip women of that right. Why not socially construct their way to living honest lives? (I tell you the reasons they don’t want to tell the truth in my book.)

I learned how important names are as a safety cue for women when I was surveying the top employees of nonprofits founded to protect the rights of lesbians and gays. They have been infiltrated and taken over by transgender activists. As I looked at their names and photos, I realized I couldn’t tell who was a natal male or female. I realized that I needed to know by their name which ones were natal men or women to feel safe about calling them up to interview them. This may not be an issue for men, but it definitely is for women. Not all men in dresses are opposed to protecting the rights of natal women, but most of them are. A man in a dress with a woman’s name is not a woman and has no visceral grasp of what it is like to grow up female, or live as a real woman. Not only would he not be able to relate to the challenges of being female, he would be likely to dismiss them. I realized that transgender activists had stolen from me, and from all women, the right to know who is male or female. I didn’t realize how much women need that to feel safe until it was gone.

To assist them in committing identity fraud, transgender activists have invented pronouns to hide their natal sex and proclaim their gender identity, also known as the sex stereotype they present to the world. I say we take their example of inventing neologisms to do the opposite: prevent transgender identity fraud.

One way to do this is to invent titles that reveal a person’s transgender status.

For example, we can call transgender-identified men (who present as women) “Mx.” or “Mxs.” pronounced “mix” and “mixxis.” Transgender-identified women (who present as men) can be “Mxr.,” pronounced “mixter.” Transgender-identified males and females who have earned a Ph.D. or M.D. degree can have the title, “Dxr.,” pronounced “Doxter.”

Rejecting identity fraud in the ways I have proposed will help force the left into a conversation about why they are creating facsimile rights groups to pirate rights from the protected classes of people they claim to champion.

Don’t think that the left is going to stop with transgenderism and transracialism.
