Vadum on Times Now talking Trump’s threat to resume hostilities against Iran

I was on Times Now in India on May 16, 2026 (May 17 in India) talking about President Donald Trump’s latest apparent threat to resume hostilities against Iran.

I was responding to Trump’s post on Truth Social that reads, “It was the calm before the storm,” amidst a background showing U.S. warships and what looks like an Iranian fast-boat.

This is Trump’s post:

We also discussed Iran’s far-fetched proposal to charge tolls to the vessels passing through the Strait of Hormuz. I likened the process to piracy.

And we discussed the dubious role Pakistan plays in peace talks between Iran and the United States. I said Pakistan can’t be trusted and that the United States views Pakistan as a “frenemy,” meaning both friend and enemy.

The anchor was Aakanksha Khajuria Kapoor.
